Account
Login with the login credentials we provide you. When logged in, your logo should appear in the avatar account icon on the top right corner. Your account is automatically linked to your Property Management System (PMS) and no further setup is required.
Click on the avatar account icon to access the account menu. From the account menu, you can:
- Update your profile. The email on the profile is used to reset your password, in case you forget it.
- Set the default currency, which is displayed on the MP POS when capturing payment details.
- Change your password.
To reset your password, click on "Reset password" on the login screen. Then enter the email address of your account and click "Send". You will then receive an email with a unique reset link. Click on that link to set a new password. You can then login with the new password.
You can install the MP POS as an app on a mobile phone or tablet. In your browser on the top right corner click on the vertical dots menu. Then select "Add to home screen". Then install the app.
PMS POS
The PMS POS is connected to your property management system. PMS POS payments are linked to a reservation with an open folio on your PMS. Successful payments will automatically be posted to the guest's folio. To process a payment follow these simple steps:
- Click on the PMS POS button on the home screen.
- Enter the room id and click the retrieve button. This will pull the guest's details and current folio balance from your PMS. Whilst doing so, you can continue with step 3.
- Fill in the payment details. The default currency you defined in your account is pre-selected. Payment type, currency and amount are required. The other fields are optional. Then click on Next.
- A unique QR code will be displayed. Customers can scan the QR code and securely pay via Mobipaid.
- Click on Verify to confirm that the payment was successfully completed. The POS will inform you if anything was not successful.
When retrieving reservation details, the folio balance is shown in the default currency set on your MP POS. You can change the default currency, to convert the balance amount to a different currency on your MP POS.
The available currencies in your MP POS, are the currencies you enable on your QR Code Payment link in the Mobipaid portal. You can enable and disable these currencies anytime via the Mobipaid portal. To successfully post the payments to your PMS, the same currency options must also be accepted by the PMS. If the currency selected for a payment is not available in your PMS, the POS will inform you when verifying the payment.
By clicking on the MP POS logo to the left of the menu bar, you can navigate to the home screen from anywhere in the app.
MP POS
The MP POS works in the same way as the PMS POS, with the exception that payments are not linked to a PMS reservation. Therefore no room number must be entered.
This feature can be used for any other payment or card pre-authorization.
It is recommended to enable wallets like Google Pay and Apple Pay on your QR Code Link. This will ensure guests have a convenient payment experience.
To use the Tip feature, Tip must be enabled on your QR Code Link in your Mobipaid portal. If not enabled, tip amounts will be disregarded.
By default the POS is set to Scan to pay. If scan to pay is disabled, the user will be re-directed to the Mobipaid payment page and card details can be entered securely via the POS screen. For a contactless journey scan to pay should be enabled.
