Connecting the MP-Opera-Connector

Connecting Opera Cloud

To get started with deploying the MP-Opera-Connector to your hotel's Opera Cloud instance, a number of credentials must be configured.
To make this process as easy as possible for the Hotelier, it is suggested that you create an account for us, with which we can implement the below steps for you. Alternatively, you can ask your Opera Cloud partner to assist and work with us.
The recommended approach is to create the initial connection and configuration of your MP-Opera-Connector on your UAT (non-production) environment. Each hotel has different Opera configurations based on internal requirements. This approach allows for testing the configuration and setup first, before the final integration is deployed to production.

Shared Security Domain (SSD)

The following is required from your Shared Security Domain:
  1. If not already created, create a user with Developer Portal Access. This is required for the steps in the next section.
  2. Create an Integration User. The Integration User is required to access your property data from the Application, which is created in the next section.
  3. Share the following with us:
    1. Integration User credentials created in step 2.
    2. Chain code and Property code.
The Integration User must be setup on the Chain of your Property.

Oracle Hospitality Developer Portal (OHIP)

The following is required from your Developer Portal:
  1. Under Applications, register a new application. The application name should be MP-Opera-Connector, and application type is Integration.
  2. When the application is successfully created, an Application Key should be generated.
  3. Under Environments, open the environment (production or non-production) to which the application created above is linked to access the environment credentials.
  4. Share the following with us:
    1. Application key created in step 2 above.
    2. Gateway URL from step 3.
    3. Client ID from step 3.
    4. Client Secret from step 3.

Mobipaid Merchant Portal

The following is required in your Mobipaid Merchant portal:
  1. Navigate to the App Manager (top right corner menu).
  2. For integration with Opera UAT click on "Connect for Test", for Opera Production click on "Connect" under Connect your Application.
  3. Enter the token provided by us and click Submit.
For security reasons, your secret values are not stored in the Connector's database. It is important that they are kept strictly confidential at all times.

When the above is completed, we will test the connection to ensure your hotel data can be accessed. Once successful and confirmed, we will contact you to start the configuration for the deposit collections, online check-in and check-out.
